My Middle Eastern background

My family played very large part in the Middle Eastern community in the Pacific Northwest over the years. My family being of Iraqi decent, and my grandpa being born and raised in Iraq is very familiar with the Middle Eastern community especially Islam. He raised my mother and her five sisters in a very strict Muslim household. He himself was one of the first Imams in the Pacific Northwest. He would administer most of the conversions to Islam in this area during the 70’s and 80’s. His heavy involvement in the Muslim community spread to my mom and her five sisters as many of them are heavily very committed to the religion of Islam. I however was not raised in a Muslim household as my mom didn’t go the religious path. I still have many Middle Eastern experiences throughout the rest of my family.
