Blog Week 2

Post 3: There are many ways you can apply the book So you Want to Talk About Race to our class discussions. Many of our discussions have been focused on racism towards people of Middle Eastern decent. We have talked about how it is cruel and unfair for example the Burkini ban. The book we read over the summer talks a lot about these same instances. Instances of racism and oppression that plague our everyday society. I myself wrote about this plague in my first paper for this class. All of the discussions we have on a daily basis that revolved around racism to Middle Easterners is what we learned over the summer.
