Week 5 Post 2

Christianity is also a very peaceful religion. I am a firm believer that all religions are peaceful. It is just the violent people in those religions that go against their Gods words to commit this violence. All religions speak against violence, especially Christianity is a very peaceful religion. Jesus always talks about forgiveness and giving your enemies second chances. It again is the media that portrays certain religions in this bad light. Christianity isn’t one of these religions, it is spoken very highly in American media, but in other places in the world Christianity definitely gets a bad wrap. The people that actually follow their religions correctly are the ones that are friendly with their neighbors of other religions. It is a universal rule in most religions to be accepting of all, and that is the one thing most religious people fail to follow. Not only towards other religions, but in most religions homosexuality is very looked down upon. When some of the top religious leaders including the pope are very pro homosexuality. All religions preach peace, but the violence found in religions are from the ignorant followers, not the religion itself.
