Week 5 post 3

For this post I will talk about some of my favorite music genres, and musicians. Growing up my taste in music has changed, and evolved greatly. As a child my parents had me listen mostly to rock and roll. I grew up on artists such as Queen, Guns and Roses, Weezer, Green Day, Journey, The Beetles, and so many more artists. These artists are what started my love for music. I remember on my mini iPod nano in elementary, and middle school listening to all these artists in bed. It wasn’t until I got a smart phone that the door opened for me to listen to all these other genres. Once I got my first iPhone freshman year of high school, I immediately bought a Spotify account, and started exploring. This was when I was introduced to hip hop and rap. I started with more of the classics like Tupac, Notorious BIG, Snoop Dog, Outkast, and so many more. This was a whole new world for me and I loved it. I spent the next few years exploring through all the amazing music I missed growing up. Eventually I started listening to R&B, Jazz, heavy metal, Latino music, I explored all the genres. To this day I’m still exploring trying to find new music to show my kids one day.
